My name is Jerry...I live in NEW YORK CITY,
More specifically The Greenwich Village neighborhood in Manhattan.
As a gay person I am very grateful to have had the good luck to have an apartment exactly where I want to live and in the only area I feel completely comfortable in.
I have lived in my apartment for over 30 years,most of my adult life.
As a young gay person I am proud to say that I participated in the 1969 Stonewall rebellion,all 4 nights.
However I consider what I and many others did in the time following Stonewall to be the real lasting legacy of those heady times so many years ago.
I helped found and participated in the creation of the first real militant gay rights group.
We called it Gay Liberation Front(GLF).
We then went on to conceptualize a yearly tribute to the spirit of Stonewall,which we now know as the yearly gay pride march/parade.
After that I went on to lead a totally gay centric life,gay centric existence,in the then "gay Ghetto" of Greenwich Village.
